Why did the owners create the website in the first place? One summer, the owners of TheCoupleSpot.com had dinner with two of their friends, a married couple (both medical doctors) that had recently tied the knot, successfully completed their residencies, and moved to a new area. Over the course of that dinner, a casual and dynamic conversation came up about how difficult it was for the two young doctors to meet other couples who share similar backgrounds and interests. That casual conversation served as the genesis behind the creation of TheCoupleSpot.com.
